Scottish Governing Body Child Protection Lead Officers Group (SGB CPLO Group) |
Established in 2004, this forum was set up to support those people designated
by their governing body of sport with lead responsibility in
child protection. The objectives of the group are:
- to provide a structured opportunity to network with other key individuals
and to share information and experiences in the development and
implementation of child protection programmes
- to provide an opportunity to discuss/provide training on specific areas
identified by participants
- to provide an opportunity for consultation in the development of child
protection in sport
Meetings dates:
2008: 25 March, 18 June, 25 September, 09 December

Local Authority Child Protection in
Sport Network Group (LA CPS Network Group)

The LA CPS Network Group was established in 2006. It is aimed at those involved in sport and leisure activities who
are able to take forward the child protection agenda within their local authority.
The forum has the same objectives as that of the SGB group, namely:
- to provide a structured opportunity to network with other key individuals from local authorities across Scotland, and
to share information and experiences in the development and implementation of child protection programmes
- to provide an opportunity to discuss and/or provide training on specific areas identified by participants
- to provide an opportunity for consultation in the development of child protection in sport

2008: 13 March, 05 June, 03 September, 03 December
